Astrology may be classified as a science because casting of the Astrological charts borrows the formulas, fundamentals & understandings from astronomy, physics, advanced mathematics and other Astro Sciences.   The same concept of formulas may be applied to cast the astrological chart for anybody. It is a science where human experiences and behaviours have been analyzed threadbare and dicta propounded which can be verified and substantiated to the core.

 Astrology is the science that defines the action of celestial bodies upon human character and its expressions in the physical world.  It is the soul of astronomy and by it the inequalities of humanity are explained. The stars have no conscious benevolence or animosity; they merely send forth positive and negative radiations. Of themselves, these do not help or harm humanity, but offer a lawful channel for the outward operation of cause-effect equilibriums (Karmic balances) which each man has set into motion in the past. In other words, it shows the working of a definite law by which one may realise that as one sow, so shall one reap.

 As mentioned earlier, to cast the Astrological chart, the same concept of scientific formulas may be applied but the interpretation of the Astrology chart is indeed requires certain skills.    In this context, the word ‘Art’ may be defined as ‘A skill at doing a specified thing, typically one acquired through practice’.  Astrology is indeed an Art when it comes to interpret the Astrology chart. The Astrologer needs to have the good understanding of the influence of stars, planets, etc on human affairs. In addition, he must also get the Inner Guidance to endorse how much and what exactly to reveal to the person in need at the time of consultation. The Astrologer must devise the right plan to help the person to walk towards the right direction.   This may well be classified as an ‘Art’.
