Planetary War between Venus and Jupiter
March is the month for Dramatic changes. Most planets would either change the zodiacal sign, or change the Nakshatra or go through the Gandanta or get aspected from Saturn and Rahu. Every movement of planets would indicate something strange. In this article I am only focusing on the movement of Venus which is getting Planetary War with Jupiter and analyse how this could affect us

3 March 2023: Venus meets Jupiter in Pisces
March begins with a planetary war between Venus and Jupiter. Whenever the distance between two planets is less than one degree, it is said that they are engaged in a planetary war. Due of their close closeness, the planets are at odds for power and authority. Please note this war is taking place war between Venus and Jupiter in last sign of the zodiac as well in last Nakshatra of the zodiac. The matter of fact is, Pisces is ruled by Jupiter and Venus is exalted here (exact exaltation would be on 10 March 2023 when Venus is at 27 degrees Pisces), hence both planets do very well.
What is this War about?
Venus is ‘Shukra Acharaya’, also known as the Guru of the Asuras (Demons). He oversees our desires and reigns over issues of pleasure, including beauty, art, luxury, love, devotion and reproduction. Basically he directs our material & sensual aspirations. It is also said, He educated Asuras on the finer points of thriving in the Earthly Realm. He taught them how to channel their emotions into acts of Dedication and Love, so uplifting and healing themselves and others around them.
Jupiter is ‘Brihspati Deva’, also known as Deva-Guru, (Guru of the Demi-Gods). The Devas are bestowed with knowledge, expansion, prosperity, wisdom, and truth by his light. Deva- Guru who directs us to grow through spiritual practices, philosophy and knowledge.
Hence, to make sure all goes well in a Dharmic (Righteous) manner, we have to make sure that both planets work well together in harmony. This is going to be a real challenge.
Why is it going to be a Challenge?
In Vedic Astrology, Venus and Jupiter are enemies. Though both are benefice planets, but the basic cause for their animosity is their nature. Venus represents Material Desires and Gains, while Jupiter represents Spirituality. Hence both have their own individual ego. Whenever Venus and Jupiter get into a planetary war, as mentioned above (of course it depends upon other parameters in the personal Astrology Chart too), they tend to disagree with each other and that makes them fight for ‘Power and Control’.
Please note, Pisces Sign-Revati Nakshtara symbolises ‘endings’ and a new ‘beginning’ but ‘transformation’ is needed to start a new cycle in a new sign, that is, Aries Sign-Aswini Nakshatra. Venus, planet of love, art and pleasure, would traverse from Pisces-Revati to Aries-Ashwini between 2 and 15 March 2023, indicating some ending and some new beginning, possibly through transformation.
Venus goes through a Challenging time followed by Jupiter in April 2023. But why this could be challenging for Venus?
Junction of Pisces and Aries is called Gandanta point. Any planet passing through this point is indicating ending of something and beginning of something through challenges
Let us first understand Gandanta
I have written about Gandanta a few times earlier too. ‘Gand’ means a ‘knot’ and ‘Anta’ means the ‘end’. Hence, Gandanta means ‘the knot at the end’. A well-tied knot is that it is very difficult to unravel. The more you try to untie the knot, the tighter it becomes. There are three Gandanta points in the Zodiac where Water and Fire signs meet, such as Pisces-Aries, Cancer-Leo and Scorpio – Sagittarius. All these three points signify different things but one things is common, that is, ‘Gandanta represents a knot within ourselves, a deep issue, which we are trying to reconcile with’. Planets traversing these junction points endure uncertainty as they struggle to unravel the hidden knot that will advance them. Generally these concerns manifest in personal relationships, catastrophic experiences, or inner conflict. It is said, Venus is in Gandanta, then relationships and marriage will be the area of insecurity.
Although Venus (the planet of Love & Art) would reach its point of exact exaltation i.e., 27 degrees Pisces on 10 March 2023 and subject to give its signification. Please note, 26 degrees Pisces to 3-20 degrees Aries is the point of Gandanta. In fact Venus would enter Gandanta (26 degrees of Pisces ) on 9 March 2023 and get into more challenging atmosphere. But this may be markd as the souls’ journey into the next stage of development.
To be precise:
9-12 March 2023: Venus would be in Water sign Gandanta in Pisces. This indicates a knot around emotional attachments and resist change because we want things to remain in some ideal condition, even though that perfect state is long gone and intellectually we know it cannot continue. One may have trouble letting go of the past and its emotions.
12-15 March 2023: Venus would be in Fire sign Gandanta in Aries. Venus is demanding an action orientated change to bring a transformation within oneself. Venus is demanding to untie the karmic emotional knot that has been knotted in the subconscious mind. And one may find hard to change unless one has the Will and takes taken a bold action. Aries Fire sign prompts for action. This is the Time for initiation for new things. This is the Ideal time for Transformation, but one may still resist coming out of old habits.
12 March 2023 – 6 April 2023: Venus interacts with Rahu on 22 March 2023 and Uranus on 31 March 2023 in Aries, and it also comes into contact with an aspect from Saturn. This suggests that your activities are likely to be met with shocks and rebuttals, and maybe even surprising occurrences that may need you to take a step back.
22 March 2023 – Hindu New Year (Ugadi)
It just so happens that the New Moon and New Lunar Year coincide with the conjunction of Venus and Rahu. This indicates that Venus and Rahu in the sign of Aries will be a signature for the next year. This indicates

An exchange of Nakshatras is nearly always exceedingly difficult for the ‘Karmic Wheel’. Though Rahu would move out of Ashwini Nakshatra on 31 Oct 2023 but its affect may carry on for an extra month, reason being two types of calculations are done for node, Rahu-Ketu. Some adapt Mean Rahu-Ketu and some adapt real position of Rahu-Ketu. If I calculate real position of Rahu-Ketu then the affects may carry one till end 27 November 2023
8 April 2023: Solar Eclipse at 5-39 deg Aries in Ashwini Nakshatra, ruled by Ketu. This area would get activated around 16 May 2023, possibly some ‘Wise Advice’ from Spiritual orientated person may help to control ‘Financial instability’ and ‘Stock market’ , but for a while
22 Apr 2023: To my understanding, Jupiter would move into Aries on this very day, 22 April 2023. We would have Rahu already there and Saturn would be throwing its 3rd aspect to Aries from Aquarius. This is the trademark for ‘Financial Ruin’ and/or Deceptive Activities’, that may come on surface. Intriguingly, this may lead to advancements in the digital, medical, and invention fields. Maybe there’s a new drug out there and/or related to AI (artificial intelligence)
27 May 2023: Jupiter would conjuncts Rahu in Aries and this is a signature of ‘Bankruptcy’ and ‘Deception’. Believe me, this is likely to bring the more fundamental concerns surrounding this to the attention of the Globe. We may get through this difficult time , but there is a possibility that it may become a greater issue in 2024. A lot of ‘Deceptive’incidents would emerge
20 June 2023: Saturn-R (13-09 deg in Aquarius would exactly aspect Jupiter (13-09 deg in Aries).
